Haha! I haven't updated for 25 days already!

Okay. A Quick update on what I'm looking forward to:

1. 1/8 : The Complete Works of Shakespeare!
   
2. 7/8 : NDP Celebrations (if any)
   
3. 1/9 : Sept Holidays!

There's nothing much to look forward to. =(
Ok I'm thinking of creating a tumblr. 'Coz tumbleblogs are easier to manage, albeit abit restricted in the HTML part. It has a nice dashboard layout though.

Hahaha but abit sad to leave my blogger. It's been around for almost two years now, yet it barely reached 100 posts. >_>

I was doing my ePortfolio half way and decided that I have no mood to write such things. I had an urge to reflect what I've been thinking of life after SYF, or rather, life after my 14th. It's been a month since my 14th and SYF.

On the morning of 31st March, I woke up anxiously. Other days I would like, Urgh, i wanna go back to sleep. But on that day I woke up and sat up. Then I immediately thought to myself, "It's SYF".

So I bathed, got mentally prepared and made my way to school. So upon arrival, usually I would be rushing to council room but that day I was rushing to band room. Then grabbed my uniform and went to the toilet to change to Full Band Uni.

So after got fully dressed, I exited the toilet and saw the councillors already at inspection. As I walked pass, their wishes of luck and happy birthdays filled my ear. I can help it but smile and feel the appreciation of the councillors. (:

Then after we packed up in band room, we went to the parade square for morning assembly. That was the firs time in the year I went for morning devotion instead of morning duty.

As I walked towards to parade square from the back, the clique started singing me a birthday song. :D I turn left I saw 2e people singing for me and smiling at me. I turn right I saw 2g people singing for me and smiling at me too. Then of course there's lonely jovi from 2f without me. Hahaha. This really made me smile. That moment I felt like hugging everyone from the clique coz I love them so much.

I realise through this small events where you see everybody smiling and laughing, these are the one that makes you feel contented with life. I feel more appreciative towards the clique now, because they are colourful people that coloured my life. (:

Ok I shall not describe the rest of SYF. But SYF has really taught me to appreciate things more. I've learn to appreciate, to accept, and most importantly, to understand. It's the journey that we've gone through that will impact us, not the results. So what if we're the only performing arts that got Bronze? We've put in a lot of effort and played the game fair. So if God wants us to get bronze, then it's okay. Because He has His reasons for giving us a bronze. It is a learning point for us to reach greater heights next time.

Today has been a tough ride for me.

I don't think the amount of effort the seniors have put in the past years is worth this. I'm sorry, all the seniors, I'm sorry for not being able to achieve that silver.

Band, we shall take this as a learning journey for our future SYF in 2011.
Let's not learn it the hard way, and end up crying out of the Conference Hall.
Let's start from now, from basics we improve to play like pros. Let's be more serious about band okay?

Just completed blogskin version 4.1.

This photo was taken by me yesterday while walking around school with Denicia. You know it's very nice to slack around school and just emo at places while watching the basketball players shoot some hoops or watching the UG doing drills in the sun. That is where it feels like home. Our school is our home, anyway.

And with the strong winds nowadays, you won't feel hot if you study at the field or the parade ground. So if you want to slack around in school after school, do tell me. ^_^

Talking about that, I hope I get $$ from anyone this CNY. T_T

Ok I have really no mood to post anything nowadays.

I know it's like breaking dawn now. But I just realise the challenges I'm going to face in Sec 2.

Emotionally. I realise Sec 2 is going to be a tough ride. Especially with it being SYF. Hopefully after SYF, everything will change. *prays for the best*. My emotions are really taking its toll on my body now. I can already expect more tears to be shed in the school.

Relationships. I shan't say much about this one. This links to the previous one. Uncertainty and confusion. =/ Even between friends. Haiz. I realise I need to spend more time with my friends this year cause its gonna be hard.

Musically. With the lost of one talent, PHSPERC section are going to take a huge toll. The pressure is now on us. We want to get that silver! And like what Daniel said to me, with the amount of passion and dedication, we are capable of getting gold for SYF 2011. =D Jiayou PHSBAND! Remember, when you believe, you can achieve. Just trust yourself and work hard. We are worth our mark in this school. (:

Academically. Of course. Sec 2 is when you'll be streaming to different classes by the time of Sec 3s. And the gap is still very big. I need to work twice as hard in order to get the combi that I want. Pray that At least I'll maintain an A2 or B3 standard for now. Then slowly I'll improve. =D

Financially. Unless you have been living under a rock, you should know that the economy is taking it's fall and everyone is crying out for the clouds to rain money. My family isn't that rich. This year will definitely be a year for me to save $$. No more bubbletea, no more KFC, Macs, etc. *pledging*

Physically. I need to get into a better shape. And hopefully the above challenge can help me along with this. Well last year's resolution was also to slim down, but I didn't. =x Well not much. So this year MUST slim down and be smexxi.

Gosh. Today has been a day to reminisce the past.

Had tuition in the afternoon. Reached home then started to emo while reading my archieve. It's saddening actually. How 1 year has past just like that. Come to think of it, soon, we'll be parting ways again, this time for JC/Poly. It's really very depressing come to think of it.

My junior year in PHS has ended. It's time to rise up to the occasion as a Sec 2 and start to grow up. No more doing things halfway then giving up. Perseverance and determination, Firdaus, perseverance and determination. Grab every oppotunity given. So always remember that life is short. Always help others and expect nothing in return.

Gah. Feeling very emo now, especially after talking to Rasyidah about the past. I've been friends with her for almost 5 years! That's longer than any friends I've had. :l

While sitting in the train and waiting for Christabel at Yio Chu Kang MRT, I realised something, something that might make you admit this theory.

Theory: People are good-looking and attractive by different aspects.

I realise that strangers, friends and acquaintances are all attractive in different ways. This can only be realise if you actually observe your surrounding people.

Okay, let's start with strangers.

Strangers #1
She's a girl I saw at the MRT. Her skin was quite dark. She had a light layer of foundation on her face. She had straight hair and was wearing a number of accessories. I found her attractive and good looking.

Stranger #2
This is a guy that we (me + a friend)saw from a distance, playing tennis/badminton, couldn't really see. But we actually found him good looking although we couldn't see the face (we could barely see if they were using shuttle cocks or tennis balls. The way he carry himself on the court and the way he seems that he's enjoying his game and his body actually can make us think he's good looking.

Friend #1
This is a friend of mine, I shan't say who but is quite obvious. He isn't actually that good looking in terms of face due to pirahnna-like teeth. But after knowing him for like almost a year, I actually found him attractive and quite 'zai'. This may be because he was one of the very few who got promoted to NP *first hint*, got top in cohort for a couple of subjects, fillial to parents (he hugs his mother when she wakes up), his mind control his words so it won't hurt anyone, and lastly, he is willing to give up just for someone else; altruism. This actually made me forget about the pirahnna teeth and make him actually quite attractive.

Friend #2
This is another friend of mine. She didn't actually attracted me at first, but after knowing her for about a year, she's quite significant now. Some factors that made me think she's attractive; perhaps her flute playing skills, her humour that is able to make everyone laugh, her clear complexion, her beutiful eyes, and her will to learn. She is able to rise up to the occasion and will improve tremendously. This proves how zai she is. And if someone knew her better, you would get attracted to her too!

Friend #3
This is another friend of mine. His face was rather typical at first, but after I realise his inner beauty, I actually found him very unique and attractive. His saxophone skills can outwit anyone who is at his age. His skills are just very overpowering till it can impress. From then on, I found him attractive and that girls will go crazy over him.

Friend #4
After observing him closely, I realised that his personality is really fun to be with and isn't as suckish as I thought. His looks and body might mean something, but his personality is much bigger.

Acquintance #1
This might be abit negative but yeah. I shouldn't be detailed. At first when I knew him. He was very handsome, a few of my friends said so. Then after knowing his true self, I started to think that he's not really that handsome afterall.

Acquintance #2
This is similar to #1. First impression, wow, eyecandy. Great voice + Great looks. But after sometimes knowing it. It just got sian and he isn't good looking afterall. This has been agreed by those who actually had the good first impression of him too.

Acquintance #3
I dunno to put this person under stranger or friend. This person used to be my role model. My aspiration. He was good musically, a good leader, very trustworthy. But after I realise his lack of responsibility, I don't find him attractive anymore. Although his skills really damn zhai. =/

The above situation are real situations where me and my friends actually encounter. This proves my theory that, aspects of one person can actually affect your entire impression of him/her. So always remember to good at the brighter side of things instead of the shaded sight.

When there's a shadow, there's always the sun.

We, as humans, are more frequent to look at the bad side in life, especially when you look at someone. Always think that you're face the part that is shadowed and if you move a few steps, you can actually see the sun.

This is what I learn and now, I look at people with a whole new perspective. People that I use to find aren't attracive are now attractive with their own reasons. (:

Santa Mah and Santa Low came early this year. And the above is what I got from them. Lol.

Kidding. Today was Council Room Spring Cleaning!! Gosh, ALOT of things could fit into council room. This stuff was since 5th Council till now. Hahhaa. There was pretty redundant stuff that isn't needed for council too. Like, erm, hair curler/straightener, toasters (all types), coffee maker, and the winner is ... BEDSHEETS! Yep. Bedsheets still in its bag unopened. Lol. There's also a whole box of unused PE tee. I think that one is HPT's. How cool =o.

Anyway, since we're clearing the stuff. Santa Low and his assistant Santa Mah (or the other way around) gave us stuff to bring back. Haha. Other than the above 4 items, there was still stuff like hairbands, candles, tumblers, oreo (which we all ate), photo frames, etc.

Anyway, since the above 4 items had like dunno how many boxes. I think every councillor would have brought home quite alot. This items were quite 'antique'. The prefect notebook is like since before there was council. Which will be like, 8 years ago? O_O. Then the others were from 2006 open house. Which meant it was from 5th Council. Gosh I realise how rich the school is during 2006. They gave pens for door gift of Prom Nite! =o

But overall, today was quite fun. (: Especially singing and watching the sec 2s play. Hahaha. They are really damn funny.
